Harvesting Mission Olives from the Tall Ones

As of this summer we've pruned 175 acres from what had been an abandoned grove.  But only 60 acres (see previous harvesting post) have all tree branches trimmed to the desired twelve feet.
We've discovered that for a mellow-tree pruning experience, it's best to limit what is removed to 1/4 - 1/5 off the scaffolds per year.
As we have over half of the acres with not-yet-pruned-at-all trees and many sitting in their partially-pruned status, today we're harvesting centennial celebrating trees from where the olives grow on the canopy at 40 to 50 feet up there.
Still, check out an amazing 1/4 pruned olive gathering atmosphere.
